Raising Rock Stars Preschool

We started some of our preschool activities this week.  One of the components of our preschool curriculum is Carisa's Raising Rockstars Preschool (RRSP).  I put the board together for our weekly themes and the twins were very excited to begin.  I'll start the rest of their program after our trip next week.   I needed to space out the starting dates of the 4th, 1st and PreK curriculums so this seemed manageable.

So far I'd say their absolute favorite part is singing with their props.  The song that went with our Bible verse was "This Little Light of Mine" which they loved!  In fact, the older girls stopped their work and joined in on the dancing every day this week.  I got such a kick out of this :)

Here are some additional highlights from our week in preschool:

They read their 'easy readers' daily.  They usually sat together and read in unison.  I have to get this on video.    

Caroline helped guide Claire through the Powerpoint presentation.  It reviewed everything we had been doing all week with the verse, letter, number, sight word, color and shape.  

They each completed a color, cut and paste craft relating to our bible verse.  They were just so eager to do everything available.

Aside from RRSP I'll be doing Before Five in a Row with them.  They just turned 4 and are eager to do more of what their sisters are doing.  I'll include them in some of our Exploring Countries and Cultures studies whenever they are interested as well as with some of the other subjects we cover.  Courtney has been very interested in the math lessons so she joins Caroline often.

We're just barely beginning our preschool so we have much to get in place.  It was fun to see them so eager and excited to do school each day.
