More on The First Day and Daddy's Birthday

There was so much excitement for the first day of school.   Our start time was set for 8:00 AM and everyone was ready and on time.  They were actually ready a little early so they started with their Bible devotional time.  That's what Courtney is doing, above.

They looked over the preschool trays and board to see what was new this year for Courtney and Claire.  Then they went straight for their drawers to find their shiny new supplies.  They all had to smell their crayons!  I love doing that!  Is that normal?

I know the 'matching' thing may not last much longer.  I wanted them to match for the first day picture but as soon as I took the photo the twins dashed to change.  They only want to wear skirts and dresses that spin.

After Bible we started on Geography.  Since we are using MFW Exploring Countries and Cultures, the  had to fill out their passport applications.  I'll have their photos printed and then issue their passports in a few weeks when we go to Mexico.

After our Preschool time, Courtney and Claire were  really focused and went through the trays without much assistance.

We celebrated Ken's birthday yesterday but since today was the actual day we just couldn't resist doing a little more.  The girls made him cards and hand-made gifts.  The box and little goodies below were  from Calista.  She made a miniature Dale Jr. car, a USC football and a history book.  She also included a family picture.  She is so loving and giving when it comes to our birthdays or special occasions.
