Caroline plays the piano like never before. Whenever she has free time she heads straight for that little piano bench. She has never had any lessons; she just tries to figure out the tunes on her own. This is definitely something I've seen growing in her lately. On the night of the Open House she sat alone for a while listening to the older girls practice their piano pieces for the talent show. The other kids were outside playing and she just wanted to sit and listen. She said it was beautiful and I could see that she was truly appreciating their talent.
It excites me to watch the girls grow in their talents and interests. It's not always possible to let them explore every avenue that sparks an interest. I worry sometimes that I can't have them enrolled in gymnastics, piano, dance, swimming etc. and maybe they're missing out on something that they would excel in. I tell myself (many times) that God has it all under control. He knows what they need and will always provide.

I know exactly how you feel, you described my feelings exactly in your second paragraph. You and I really do think alike in so many areas.
This is a very sweet picture.
And, I love the Happy Father's Day pic.
Also, like the lost tooth--the first ones bring mixed emotions for me....but I know it's happening all as it should:-).
At what age did you start piano lessons for your girls?
We started our oldest when she was in the first grade. We've had to stop but hope to start both of them again in the fall. :)
