Day 158 - open house

We had our homeschool open house this evening.  I'm thankful that our group does this because it gives the kids an opportunity to display their work and have a sense of completion (and accomplishment) for the school year.  The evening consisted of dinner, work displays, oral presentations and a talent show.  The girls each took their turn reciting their poem up onstage.  I wasn't sure if the twins would do it but they did it!  Calista went up to help each of them with the microphone.  Each family took some time to present   promotion certificates to their children.  Ken spoke about each of the girls and highlighted some of their accomplishments this year.  I loved seeing their proud little faces.  It was a special night.

I bet this was a fun, special night! Love their pink dresses too.

You are very blessed to have a group like this! We are lacking in our area for such support, but it would be wonderful.

What a great idea to have the parents present their kids and their accomplishments.

We have friends in Turkey who homeschool their kids and they told us that she is the Teacher and he is the Principal. When she has trouble disciplining the children then she sends them to see the Principal. After school hours then they are mom and dad again. :)

I bet Ken is Principal in the Roberts Elementary School. :)
