Our friends came over to help us prepare (and try) some raw food. It's been something I've been dabbling in but don't know enough about it. My friend, Lauri, has much more experience with preparing raw or mostly raw foods and offered to come over and prepare a feast. I wish I had taken a better photo but it was a little chaotic at times. The twins were clingy and we had a houseful of girls (they have three).
We had 'enchiladas', spinach salad, Macho Nacho dip, Snappy Salsa, and Savory Rice. Oh, and a yummy strawberry cheesecake type pie. All of it was vegan and raw. I loved everything we made (she did most of it since the twins wouldn't let go of me). The girls liked some of it and Ken liked the dessert most of all. He wasn't too open to the idea of raw or vegetarian foods. I didn't think he would be but I wanted him to at least try. It was a fun food experience but mostly it was fun to spend time with their lovely family.
