Day 31 - a caring friend

Caroline has been shying away from game time in Awana lately. It had happened before but her fears were back.   She didn't like the relay games where she had to run around the circle by herself.   How can I teach her to be more confident if I don't like doing that either.  I had to do it once on parent night and I was certain I looked like a duck.  I obviously didn't tell her how I felt but it must transfer in some crazy way.

Had it not been for Nancy's (Mrs. Bag) phone call I wouldn't have known what was happening with Caroline.  I assumed she was playing and all was well.  We talked about her fears and made a baby step plan.  Later that night when I picked her up she was so excited that she had played, her team had won, and that she had contributed to their victory.  Thank you Nancy :)  You are such a blessing to our family.
