We added a new tradition to our advent activities this year. I realized that most of the books I had about Christmas were about Santa, snowmen and presents. Not that I need to exclude all of those but I haven't even pulled them out yet because of this. I just decided to be more intentional this year about the Christmas activities we chose. More about about Christ....what Christmas is truly about. So we added the Jesse Tree this year as one of our family devotionals. I searched online for ornaments but just ended up making them out of cardstock instead. My drawing skills aren't that great (so don't look too closely) but the kids love trying to guess what will be on the ornament once we've finished the day's Bible reading and discussion.
