Calista is working with money in Math. I actually figured she had already done a lot of this in school and that it would be easy but she struggled more than I expected. Making change was really tough and the concept wasn't coming easily. So we pulled out the coins and tried it that way. It didn't come right away because she already had it set in her mind that she didn't get it but we'll see how this goes. I think I need to get some really cool things (sugary) that she can buy with play money. That might work. :)
