Day 41 - finding our groove

So after one week or so of homeschooling I think we're starting to get into a good routine. I had remembered from teaching in the classroom that it took a few months to really establish rituals and routines and I didn't want it to happen by default. Our mornings are getting smoother each day. I still feel that I need to review the schedule at breakfast before they leave the table. It helps them and it actually helps me too. This is just the schedule for the early morning, before school, chunk of time. Calista and Caroline earn free choice time later in the morning if these things are completed (with a happy heart) by circle time. I know it's a little structured but this way they know exactly what to do and I won't have to hear, "oh, I forgot".
