We're having a summer reading contest here. It's not really a contest because everyone will eventually win but it is motivating to be the first. Calista is certain that she will win but she also has the most time available for reading. That's my excuse anyway. It started out as just an activity for the girls but then we realized that if we included Ken and gave him his own chart, he'd read too. The competition would get to him. So when he came home and learned about the contest he immediately wanted to add his most recent book to the chart. Unfortunately, he read that book several years ago. Uh, nope, that didn't fly. So I'm happy to say that he has borrowed a book from a friend and is in the race.
