It was finally the day for the Awana Grand Prix! The girls had their cars ready and for the first time, Courtney and Claire were in the race. Ken was able to convince them to put a few racing stickers on their cars but for the most part they were painted in sweet colors with flowers and polkadots.
Their cars all did very well and it was so exciting to watch. Courtney's car placed 2nd in the Cubbies race and boy was she surprised! She was a little overwhelmed with the award ceremony and scared to go onstage. Daddy helped.
But as soon as she was off the stage, and for the next few days, all she spoke of was her 2nd place trophy. She came home and rearranged her nightstand so it would have a prominent place. She is so adorable!
