Day 211 - calista's acting class

Calista has been in an acting class all week.  She wanted so badly to participate in this class so her Vavi (my mom) gifted her the tuition.  This class is a prerequisite for the class and performance in the spring.  She has been in the church plays in the past but this one is definitely more intense and geared at a higher age and ability level.  She had to come up with her own character for an impromptu and learn a few songs and her scene for the performance tonight.  They worked together for five days so it was pretty intense.  I was SO proud of her.  I know for a fact that I could not have done this at her age, or any age for that matter.  I love her confidence.  Yes, she was a little nervous.  She and her acting partner were the youngest there, but  it didn't stop her.   During her scene she had some issues with the mic around her ear and the wire falling down her pants but she pressed on.  She was a real trooper and thought it was funny.  Best of all, she adored the experience and learned a lot from her teacher and the older students.
