Day 79 - awana olympics

This was our church's first year participating in the Awana Olympics.  Calista wasn't able to attend since she was sick so she had to stay home with the twins.  She was really disappointed but ended up having a good time with Mrs. Hamm and Ms. Heather.

Awana Olympics was a voluntary event with teams of 10 from each church in the area. This is Caroline's first year as a Sparky so she's on the youngest end of the group.  It ranges from K-2nd grade.  She participated in almost every game and we were so proud of her.   She was so much fun to watch because we could just tell what she was saying to the couches (like, "no, I don't want to").   It was a huge accomplishment for a little girl not wanting to play at all at the beginning of the year.   Oh, and they even won.  The Cornerstone Christian Church Sparkies took 1st place!
I had to include this last picture because it was just so Caroline.  She's the one tracing the letters while her team is out there playing.  She makes me smile :)

Looks like so much fun. In my 10 years with Awana I've not been a club that has done this event.
