Although I love to scrapbook, I have found it so difficult to do since we started homeschooling. Besides that, it takes me a long time to put a layout together so I don't make much progress in my little window of time. The class is wonderful for me because Cathy teaches design concepts and provides the sketches so all I have to do is copy. Easy-shmeasy! Well, sort of.....I still take a long time. As part of the class we put an album together with the sample layouts we've created. I think she said we'd have about 32 different layouts completed by the end of the class. This will be a wonderful resource as I'm sure that I'll turn to these design sketches again and again. Here are a few more of the layouts I created (copied) so far.

Scrapbooking Design Class
I'm taking an online class at Big Picture Scrapbooking called Design Your Life by Cathy Zielske. I've waited all year to take this class and now that I'm doing it I'm 4 weeks behind! Luckily it doesn't matter because the content remains online even after the class has ended.

Beautiful layouts! I used to scrapbook all the time too, but now I rarely have the time. My blog has to serve as my creative outlet most days! I am so impressed that you can homeschool 4 little girls. I don't think I could ever do that with my boys, so kudos to you girl!
Have a great weekend!
Your scrapbook pages are so nice. It takes me a long time to create them too, so I haven't even tried in a few years. I feel guilty having all those supplies and not using them. My two issues with scrapbooking are time & choosing pictures. I take so many pictures that it's too hard for me to filter through them, and it's very time consuming. Going to a class would help with the creative process, but I would still have a hard time choosing! I like how you a section with your own hand writing on the scrapbook page. That adds a nice personal touch!
Oh Isabelle, I LOVE Cathy Z. I have 2 of her books. She is the bomb. I wish I had taken that class, now. Let me know how you end up liking it. I have told myself that I am going to delve into and try digi scrapping this year. It hasn't happened. I have found knitting instead... AACCKK!!!!!
Love your layouts. Clean and simple!
