Day 58 - one of her prayers

Over the past year or so we've had to make a lot of changes.  We've made many cuts that were difficult but just needed to happen.  I've gotten used to most of them, like not having a TV or a cell phone, and don't even mind those changes.  The cuts that were really hard were the ones that affected the girls.... Calista's piano lessons and Caroline's ballet.   They are just extras, I know, but Caroline especially had a passion for ballet unlike anything we had seen in her.  She never complained but I would hear it in her prayers.  She would ask God to please help her be in her ballet class again and she would tell Him how much she missed it.  Hearing those prayers always made me choke up because they were just so heartfelt.

With four months left in the ballet season we were able to pull together some early birthday gifts and enroll her in her old ballet class.   We're not sure about the recital but for now this will work and we're so grateful.      She was overjoyed when we told her and could barely sit still while I put her hair in a bun this morning.  Thank you God!

That's very touching. Your kids are smart and they capable of understanding. Because they are kids they don't hide stuff in their hearts and when something comes out of their mouths, we are often shocked because they are sincere.
