Celebrating our sweet girl's 8 1/2 years -- Caroline and Claire decorated her cake.
I feel like I need to have a spectacular photo for this last day of 2009. The reality is that I have piles of laundry to do, Christmas to put away, school to plan, a house to declutter, goals to make and the twins have bronchitis. I feel like I need to detox from sugary Christmas treats and exercise non-stop until my pants are not tight anymore. But we still had one more cake to bake because we weren't home to celebrate Calista's half-birthday on the 29th. That being said, I loved this Christmas more than any other one. I wanted their Christmas memories to involve our focus on Jesus' birth and what that truly means to us. I know that will deepen as they get older but I definitely feel like we were more intentional with our teaching this year and they really got it. I may have overdone it with crafts and baking but we definitely made some good memories. I want their Christmas memories to be happy and warm and safe. That's important to me.
Thank you for following our Project 365 blog this year. We look forward to 2010 and all that God has in store for us.
Happy New Year and God Bless :)
