It was candy cane day at our house today. We read The Legend of the Candy Cane, made paper candy canes and then made some super yummy candy cane cookies. The candy cane reminds us of a J for Jesus and then, turned the other way, a shepherd's staff. The red reminds us of Jesus' suffering and his blood while the white represents the washing away of our sins, making us white and pure as snow. They enjoyed the book and the activities even more than I had anticipated. It was a wonderful day :)
