Calista and Caroline went to an ice-skating rink for the first time today. It was Olivia's birthday party and because we had Miss Kerry to watch the twins, we were able to attend. The girls were super excited to ice-skate, up until the moment they had to step on the ice. Then it all changed! Neither one of them would go and I thought for sure we'd be on the bleachers watching. The rink had these buckets for kids to balance themselves with -- total lifesaver. Caroline took the plunge first and about 5 minutes later Calita came on. Whew!
We had so much fun and I was just amazed to see the progress they made. Caroline buzzed around pushing her buckets the whole time having a blast. Calista eventually let go and skated around the whole rink with me. I was SO proud of them. It was a really fun time with good friends. The whole event was such a blessing to us.
