I also love this little smile of pride. She brought her white board over to show Calista what she had written.
I like to go to the park with my sisters.
I like to ride my bike.
Sometimes Calista rollerskates.
Luckily Calista knew to have Caroline read it aloud since it wasn't easily deciphered at first sight. Again, I was so thrilled that this little 'are-we-done-yet' girl was fully engaged without one bit of prodding.
Calista has spent the past two weeks working in everything but the Adventures curriculum (since we're starting that on Tuesday). We did start Primary Language Lessons in the 2nd grade section just to get used to the format. She doesn't have much experience with dictation, narration, poetry memorization or any of the other methods we'll be using now. We also started working in her Math books which are the same ones she had last year. We're using workboxes so I've had 6 filled for her daily. I need to buy a few more and set up the activity cards and number strips still but I'm just using sticky notes for now. I'll post pictures of those when I have them complete.
Calista made banana bread for our snack today. Since we had some fun snacks throughout the week with the Creation lessons, the kids were still expecting something extra yummy. This was perfect.

Thanks for the visit! Your girls are beautiful! We did MFW Adventures and K the same year too and I have to tell you it was our favorite year so far. We love MFW too and I love to meet new bloggers who are enjoying it!
