Calista and Caroline begged for gymnastics on and off for months. This summer we decided to try it out and see if they took to it or not. Both girls did really well and it seemed pretty natural for them. Calista hit a wall when she had to climb up on the bars and it lead to tears a few times. I wish she could just get past this but I know it will take some time. Unfortunately she doesn't really want to continue. She wants to learn ballet now instead. Being afraid of the bars and seeing Caroline dance in the recital changed her mind completely. If it were possible I would keep her in gymnastics just to get past this but she already has piano lessons and I'm not even sure we can have her in ballet yet. Caroline, on the other hand, loves gymnastics and would go every day if she could. Both girls have just one more day of gymnastics left.
