Day 178 - caroline's pre-ballet recital

We are so proud of our little ballerina. It was such a long, long day and I really had doubts about her ability to make it through all of the waiting. We had rehearsal from 9 to 2:30 PM and then had to return for the actual recital at 4 o'clock. I was exhausted and I know she was but she never complained. We dropped her off in her holding room and didn't see her again until she was on stage, as cute as ever. I was so excited to see her up on stage and I had to control myself not to start crying uncontrollably with love for her. She did everything perfectly and gracefully. She had a beautiful, angelic smile on her face. She was so confident and so in her element. An hour or two later she came out again for the Finale and again, she was adorable. She was one of the four tiny ballerinas that made it through to the end. She stood up there on stage, during all of the applause, covering her ears.
