It was store night at Awana. That's when the children get to buy things with the Awana bucks they've earned memorizing verses and doing their lessons. At Caroline's level of Awana they don't earn bucks yet so she doesn't come with anything on store nights.
It never matters though because Calista always spends her money on her sisters. Tonight when she came home she had 3 things that she had purchased -- one for each sister. She spent all of her Awana bucks on her sisters and nothing for herself. She was so excited to give them these cute little presents.
