Tucking the girls in bed is one of my favorite routines of the day. Not just because I get to scrapbook or go to bed but because the things they say and do when they are tucked in are so precious. I need to have my little notebook with me so I can write everything down because I usually forget by the time I get back out to the kitchen.
So tonight Calista and Caroline were already in bed reading while Courtney and Claire were out by the dollhouse. I asked them to go to their rooms for books and this is what they said:
"Come on Cwaire, wets go wead the Chwistmas book"
"Ok, Cour-ney, wets hold hands"
Even better than that was later, when I tucked them into their cribs and covered them up with their blankies. Claire took out her dapi (pacifier), gave me a kiss and said, "I wuv you sooo much Mommy". As if that wasn't enough to melt me, I walked over to Courtney's crib and she did the same thing with a little added hug and a smile.
I am going to miss this so much one day, I know.
