We have had this dollhouse (on the right) for years. We bought it when Calista was two. It's always been a favorite but nothing like this past year. The girls cannot get enough of this toy. In fact, last year I purchased Sweet Streets houses and people from another twin mom and they have been a great addition to their "land" as they call it. The thing we have noticed over the past several months is that Courtney and Claire want in on the action too. They all want to play at the same time and they start crawling all over each other just so each girl has her own room.
Ken and I had decided long ago that we wouldn't buy two of the same toy so they'd all learn how to share but this is just one of those battles that we don't want to fight. We're beyond learning how to share here; they just don't fit. So we purchased another big dollhouse from a mom on Craigslist and it was a great decision.
Yes, their 'land' has taken over most of the living room but they play for hours and make believe to their heart's content. Their dolls' everyday lives are fascinating. They are homeschooled, they have maids and flying chairs, they are princesses and have birthday parties daily.
