We went with our friends, the Maxedons, to play in the snow today. The girls had a blast! Well, some of the girls had a blast. Claire and Calista had fun the whole time, Caroline most of the time and Courtney never liked it until we got in the truck to go home.
Courtney sat on my lap the entire time we were there. She cried like she was being tortured if her feet touched the snow. I went down on the sled once (when it was time to go home) with Courtney screaming and flailing on my lap.
Calista seemed to glide and twirl all over place. Like Claire, she couldn't get enough of sledding down the hill. Claire squealed in delight and Calista never tired out.
Caroline screamed all the way back down to the truck while Ken was pulling her in the sled. Daddy was making it too bumpy, of course. Seriously, you'd think she had a broken bone with the way she was screaming.
The real drama came when we got back inside the truck to change clothes. All four girls were crying and screaming about being cold. We didn't have snow gear so their jeans were soaked through and their little legs were all red and cold.
I did notice that despite all of the screaming and whining in the end, it didn't stress us out like it would have in the past. It was a really fun time and I hope we can do this again.
