Day 59- sandy

Today is Sandy's big day.  She's in Disneyland for a cheer competition with her girls but I'm thinking about her nonetheless.  Sandy is a special childhood friend and she has remained a constant in my life.  Every time we would move she'd tell me I needed to move to the Sacramento area.  I never thought it would actually happen but here we are, together again. 

When we were kids Sandy and I weren't allowed to do much outside of school.  She was always grounded and my parents just kept me in for fear of the world.  We did manage to sneak in some special and crazy memories and that's really what I remember the most.  

Nowadays we don't quite spend the time we wish we could together but between us we have 8 kids, different activities and paths that don't cross very much unless we change gears.  Sandy and Todd (her husband) have invited us over for Christmas Day since we've lived here.  That has meant so much to me because for one, it's a special day with their own family and two, we're not an easy bunch to have over.  But Sandy never, ever complains.  She is seriously one of the most positive and giving people I know.  I simply adore her.  Happy Birthday Sandy.
