It seems that we've been in the house for days. Today I had no plans of venturing out because Ken was gone, Courtney was out of sorts from strep and I barely slept last night. I felt pretty frumpy. By 4pm the thought of making a 'crazy dinner' (as we call it when someone is missing) had me wanting to pull out the Eggo waffles again. So instead we got in the car and went to one of my all time favorite stores, Target.
It was perfect. I could push them in the stroller, feed them goldfish and look at the scrapbooking stuff. I promised the big girls a new couch for their dollhouse so they were excited too. Well, when we got there the whining and shrieking started. Courtney wanted a red dapi (pacifier), Claire wanted crackers, Calista and Caroline realized the dollhouse furniture wasn't available anymore and I could barely push the darn stroller because the babies weren't babies anymore. It went downhill fast.
I got a few sympathy looks, one laugh and a handful of horrified stares. We made it quickly through the checkout line to pay for the red dapi and crackers. I couln't wait to get home and make Eggo waffles for dinner. uhhhh.
